Your first visit begins with a comprehensive dental hygiene assessment focused on understanding your overall oral health.
This includes:
• Review of your medical and dental history (including medications and allergies)
• Head, neck, and oral soft-tissue screening (oral cancer screening)
• Detailed evaluation of your teeth and gums, including periodontal measurements when indicated
We’ll review the findings together and create a personalized care plan tailored to your needs — with time for questions at every step.
Fees are guided by the current ODHA Suggested Fee Guide and discussed prior to treatment.
Scaling is the careful removal of plaque and tartar (calculus) from your teeth, both above and below the gumline. This supports gum health and helps reduce the risk of decay and inflammation.
Polishing removes surface stains and soft plaque, leaving teeth smooth and refreshed.
Fees are guided by the current ODHA Suggested Fee Guide. A personalized estimate is discussed prior to treatment.
Fluoride varnish helps strengthen enamel, reduce sensitivity, and prevent cavities. It is a quick, protective application placed directly onto the teeth.
Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) is a non-invasive option used in select situations to help manage cavities without drilling or local anesthetic.

How fees are determined
Services are itemized using standard dental hygiene procedure codes (e.g., assessment, scaling, polishing, fluoride). Time-based services, such as scaling, depend on the amount of care required. Totals are guided by the current ODHA Suggested Fee Guide.
New patients: All new patients begin with a comprehensive dental hygiene assessment to ensure appropriate, personalized care.
Direct billing: Insurance claims are submitted electronically to CDCP and most private insurance plans. We can also bill Healthy Smiles Ontario (HSO), ODSP, and the Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) program. If your plan does not allow assignment, an itemized receipt will be provided for you to submit.
Your portion at the visit: Any portion not covered by your plan (such as deductibles, co-payments, plan limits, or non-covered services) is due at the time of your appointment. Payment options include e-transfer, debit, credit (Visa/Mastercard), Apple Pay, and Samsung Pay.
Estimates & pre-determinations: Upon request, a treatment estimate can be provided and submitted to your insurance plan for pre-determination when available. Final coverage decisions are made by your insurer.
X-rays are not provided. If radiographs are required, coordination with your dentist or referral can be arranged.
