I provide dental hygiene care both in the comfort of your home (mobile services) and in my private, home-based practice in Welland, Ontario.
Services include:
Professional cleanings (scaling and polishing)
Fluoride treatments to strengthen teeth and help prevent cavities
Teeth whitening with professional-grade products
Desensitizing treatments for sensitive teeth
Hygiene exams and oral assessments
Oral hygiene education and personalized treatment plans to support long-term health
I proudly care for patients of all ages! From infants to seniors. I also provide services for those with mobility challenges, dental anxiety, or residents in retirement and long-term care settings.
For convenience, I offer direct billing with most insurance providers. If needed, I can also help connect you with a dentist, and with your consent, share your hygiene records to ensure continuity of care.
I don’t currently provide X-rays as part of my mobile or home-based services. If X-rays are needed, I’ll let you know and recommend following up with your dentist.
X-rays are an important part of dental care because they let us see things we can’t catch with the eyes alone. They help:
Check between the teeth for cavities that aren’t visible in a mirror.
Look at the bone levels that support your teeth.
Spot buildup under the gums (hardened tartar/calculus) that might not be visible on the surface.
How often X-rays are recommended depends on your individual risk for cavities and gum disease. Some people may need them more often, while others may only need them every few years.
Yes. Dental hygienists provide preventative care like cleanings, fluoride, and whitening, but only a dentist can diagnose and treat dental problems such as cavities, root canals, or extractions.
If I notice something concerning during your cleaning, I’ll explain what I see and recommend follow-up with your dentist. If you don’t currently have a dentist, I can help connect you with one so you have the support you need for full dental care. With your consent, I can also share the information we’ve collected during your hygiene appointment (such as charting and notes) to ensure continuity of care between us and your dentist.
Yes. I regularly provide care in retirement homes and for patients with mobility limitations or dental anxiety. I adjust the pace of the appointment and bring portable equipment to make treatment as comfortable as possible. If you have specific concerns, let me know ahead of time so I can plan accommodations.
Continuity of care is very important. With your consent, I can share my findings such as charting, gum health assessments, and treatment notes directly with your dentist to keep your dental records complete. If you don’t currently have a dentist, I can help connect you with one.
I also provide patients with a copy of their records or recommendations upon request, so you always have your information on hand for future dental or medical appointments.
Yes. At your first visit, I’m required by the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO) to complete a full new patient assessment. This includes reviewing your medical history, checking the soft tissues inside and outside your mouth, assessing your gum and bone health, charting your teeth, and discussing your oral health goals. This ensures your care is safe, individualized, and thorough.
This assessment is often covered by insurance, but coverage can sometimes be limited if your dentist has recently billed an exam fee. Most insurance plans allow a new patient exam every 3–5 years. If you’d like, I can send an estimate to your insurance provider before your appointment so you’ll know exactly what’s covered.
Booking is easy through my website. First select whether you’d like an at-home visit or in my home based practice to access schedule availability. Not seeing anything that fits? No problem, just send me a message and I will try my best to help accommodate,
For adults, a typical cleaning takes about 45–60 minutes, and whitening usually takes about 75 minutes.
For new adult patients, the first appointment is longer (about 90 minutes). This extra time allows us to complete a full new patient exam — gathering all of the assessments needed to create your personalized treatment plan, reviewing your health history, and answering any questions you may have. After your first visit, follow-up appointments are shorter.
For mobile visits, please also allow an extra 10–15 minutes for set-up and again for take-down of equipment.
For children, youth, and teens, appointments are usually shorter and can range from 15–45 minutes, depending on their oral health needs and comfort level.
If I see signs of gum disease, cavities, or other oral health issues, I’ll explain what I observed and discuss next steps. This may include recommending that you book with your dentist for treatment, or providing oral hygiene strategies to help manage the concern until then.
I understand that things come up! Please try to give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule or cancel. Last-minute cancellations may be subject to a small fee to help cover set-up and travel time. If you’re unwell or have an emergency, just reach out and we’ll work together to reschedule.
After a cleaning or whitening, you can go about your day as normal. You may notice a little sensitivity, especially if tartar buildup was heavy or whitening was completed — this usually settles quickly.
To get the best results:
Avoid eating or drinking strongly pigmented foods and drinks (like coffee, red wine, or berries) for a few hours after whitening.
Stay on top of brushing and flossing daily to maintain your oral health between visits.
If you experience any unusual discomfort or have concerns, reach out — I’m happy to answer questions and provide guidance.
I’ll also let you know when I recommend scheduling your next hygiene visit. This varies for each patient — it may be every 3, 4, 6, 9, or 12 months, depending on your oral health needs and risk for gum disease or cavities.
Mobile dental hygiene is a fantastic option for many people! Busy individuals and professionals appreciate saving valuable travel and waiting room time by having care come directly to their home or even their workplace (with employer permission). Families with children love the convenience of having multiple family members seen in one visit, eliminating extra trips and childcare arrangements. Seniors benefit from receiving comfortable, compassionate care in the familiarity of their own homes, retirement residences, or long-term care facilities without the strain of travel. Mobile visits are also ideal for those with mobility challenges or disabilities, as well as anyone who experiences dental anxiety or phobia. Being in a familiar environment can make care feel much more relaxed. Finally, for patients living in rural or less accessible areas, mobile dental hygiene brings care closer to you.
I bring everything needed: a portable patient and clinician chair, light, sterilized tools, and more. I just need a small setup area (about 5' x 7') and access to a 3-pronged power outlet. It typically takes about 10–15 minutes to set up. Access to a nearby sink for handwashing is appreciated, though I follow strict hand hygiene protocols regardless.
You can receive care in my sturdy portable dental chair, a chair you already have, a wheelchair, on a sofa, or even a bed if mobility is a concern. We can discuss the best spot beforehand or when I arrive to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible.
There’s not much you need to do — I’ll bring everything required for your care. A few things that help make the visit go smoothly:
Choose a comfortable space with enough room for my portable chair and equipment (about 5’ x 7’), preferably on the main floor for insurance purposes.
Alternative seating is possible — if mobility is limited or for children, care can be provided on a couch, a bed, a wheelchair, or even a sturdy chair you already have. In these cases, less space may be needed.
Have a nearby power outlet available for my setup. (If suction or water is not required for your appointment, then no outlet is needed.)
If possible, clear the area of extra items so I have room to work safely.
Access to a sink for handwashing is appreciated, though I follow strict hand hygiene protocols regardless.
Take your usual medications as directed, unless your doctor or dentist has advised otherwise.
That’s it! I’ll take care of everything else to make your appointment easy and comfortable.
I provide services in private homes, assisted living or retirement residences, long-term care facilities, and other locations by arrangement.
I serve patients across the Niagara Region and surrounding areas. Local towns include:
Welland, Port Colborne, Pelham, Wainfleet, Stevensville, Thorold, Ridgeway, Crystal Beach, Niagara Falls, St. Catharines, Jordan, Vineland, Fort Erie, Lincoln, Smithville, Beamsville, and Dunnville.
If you’re unsure whether I can come to your location, feel free to reach out, I’m happy to let you know.
Life happens, and I do my best to be flexible. Here’s how I handle a few common situations:
Weather: If severe weather or unsafe driving conditions prevent me from reaching you, I’ll contact you to reschedule as soon as possible.
Power outage: Most of my equipment is portable and battery-operated. If suction or water is needed and no power is available, we’ll discuss options (such as rescheduling or modifying the treatment).
Pets: I love animals! For safety and infection-control purposes, please let me know if pets will be present so we can make a plan - some patients prefer to keep pets in another room during treatment.
Absolutely! I offer direct billing to most providers. If your plan doesn't allow that, I’ll give you a detailed receipt to submit yourself.
I accept e-transfer, cash, debit, and credit card payments. I also accept contactless options such as Apple Pay and Samsung Pay. All card and tap payments are processed securely through my Square app, so you can choose whatever is most convenient for you.
In most cases, I can submit claims directly to dental insurance providers for hygiene services. If your insurer requires it, I can also provide you with a detailed receipt or claim form that you can submit yourself. If you let me know your insurer ahead of time, I can confirm whether home visit services are eligible for coverage.
Insurance plans often only cover one exam per benefit year, regardless of whether it’s completed by a hygienist or a dentist. That means if you have a new patient exam with me, your dentist may not be able to bill for their own new patient exam in the same year.
However, this does not prevent you from seeing a dentist. Your dentist can still provide a comprehensive check-up and x-rays, and may bill under a different exam code (such as a specific or recall exam), which many plans cover separately.
Definitely! As a Registered Dental Hygienist, I strictly follow all sterilization and infection control protocols required by CDHO and Public Health Ontario. I take great pride in upholding these standards, and it’s one of the many reasons I was motivated to start my own practice: to provide safe, professional care in a comfortable and convenient setting.
Yes! My practice is child-friendly, and I strive to make kids feel safe and comfortable whether we’re at my clinic or in your home. Many families appreciate being able to book appointments back-to-back for parents and children. One of the best parts about mobile visits is the convenience. Kids can have their teeth cleaned while parents get things done around the house, like cooking dinner or helping with homework. It makes dental care easier and less stressful for the whole family.
You’re not alone! Many people feel nervous or have challenges during dental care. My approach is always gentle and personalized:
I’ll explain each step before I begin and check in with you often.
We can take breaks at any time if you need them.
For patients with sensory sensitivities (noise, touch, or light), I adjust my pace, use softer lighting when possible, and work around your comfort level.
For children, seniors, and patients with mobility or cognitive challenges, I adapt my setup and communication to make the appointment as calm and positive as possible.
Please feel free to share any specific needs or concerns with me ahead of your appointment, my goal is to help you feel safe and supported.
